Mary Chamberlain’s debut novel sold to 19 countries. Published first in the UK as The Dressmaker of Dachau, and then in the US as The Dressmaker’s War it continues to be translated and released across the globe. Her second novel The Hidden was released in paperback in the UK in September 2019. Her third novel – The Forgotten – was published by Oneworld in September 2021. Like her previous two novels, it deals with the grief and guilt of war and is set in Berlin in 1945 and London in 1958. The Lie, published in July 2023, is the story of two sisters, a family secret, and a devastating truth that has its origins during the Second World War.
